If you're struggling, talk to a person

ACE MYP helps you study. It is not a counselling service, and it is not a substitute for a real person who can help.

ACE MYP's AI features are not monitored in real time. If you write something here because you are in distress, no one is watching the screen. Please tell a person you trust — a parent or guardian, your form tutor, the school counsellor, or one of the services listed below.

At school

  • Your form tutor or any teacher you trust — they are the fastest route to real support.
  • The Tema International School counsellor — ask at the school office or reception for the current contact.
  • Your Head of Year, or the MYP Coordinator for anything about workload and assessment pressure.

In Ghana

  • Mental Health Authority Ghana helpline — 0800 678 678 (toll-free) or 0800 678 679.
  • Ghana Police emergency — 191. National ambulance service — 193.
  • Accra Psychiatric Hospital and the Ghana Psychological Association can direct you to a professional near you.

If this is an emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, do not use this platform to get help — call the emergency numbers above, or find a trusted adult right now. That is always the right thing to do.

How our AI behaves

If something you write to an ACE feature suggests you are in distress or at risk, the AI is instructed to stop the academic task, respond with care, and point you to the contacts on this page. It will not try to counsel you, because it is not qualified to.

Wellbeing features

Check-ins and wellbeing prompts on ACE MYP exist to help you notice your own study patterns — nothing more. They are not an assessment of your mental health, and what you enter is visible only to you and to platform administrators.

Exam pressure is normal

Feeling overwhelmed before MYP e-assessments is extremely common, and it is not a sign that anything is wrong with you. Talk to someone early rather than late — every member of our team has been through it.
