The core principle

No AI feature on ACE MYP writes work you can submit. The Essay Coach tells you what is missing and what a stronger response would contain — it never rewrites your paragraph. Ask ACE explains concepts — it never answers an assessed question for you. Teach ACE evaluates your own explanation — it never supplies one.

What ACE MYP will do

  • Explain a concept, a command term, or an assessment criterion until it makes sense to you.
  • Read your own writing and tell you which criterion strand is underdeveloped, and why.
  • Ask you questions that expose a gap in your understanding, then help you close it.
  • Generate practice questions, flashcards and summary sheets from syllabus content for you to study from.

What ACE MYP will not do

  • Write or rewrite a paragraph, essay, report or Personal Project section for you to submit.
  • Produce a complete answer to an assessed question, a full lab report, or an IA response.
  • Hand you a conclusion, an evaluation, or a reflection in your voice.
  • Complete any task your teacher set for you to complete yourself.

The IB academic honesty policy

The IB requires that all work you submit is authentically your own, and that any assistance or source you used is acknowledged. ACE MYP is designed to sit firmly inside that requirement: it is a study and coaching tool, in the same category as a revision guide, a study group, or a conversation with a teacher. Using it to understand criteria is legitimate academic support. Using any tool to generate submitted content is academic misconduct, and no feature here will help you do it.

Acknowledging AI assistance

Some schools and supervisors ask you to declare AI use. If yours does, be specific and honest — a declaration of legitimate coaching protects you. An example line you can adapt:

"I used ACE MYP (an AI study platform) to check my understanding of the Criterion C requirements and to receive feedback on the structure of my draft. All research, analysis and writing in this work is my own."

Personal Project and assessed coursework

Your Personal Project, your Internal Assessments and every piece of assessed coursework must be your own work. ACE MYP's role is to help you understand what the criteria are asking for — the thinking, the research, the decisions and the writing are yours. Every AI feature reached from the Personal Project hub carries this reminder on screen.

If you ask an ACE feature to write it for you

It will decline, explain why in plain terms, and offer to coach you through building the response yourself instead. That is not the platform being difficult — it is the platform protecting your grade and your integrity.
